On an early morning visit to St Ives I took a walk around the harbour looking for interesting objects to photograph. I loved this vibrant cheerful yellow rope for its colours, twists and texture. It wasn’t a particularly warm morning and the sun was playing hide and seek, but it was so nice to be able to amble along the streets without anyone getting in my way.

My favorite color.
😊
😉
The colour reminds me of a daffodil just opened, with a hint of green!
So very true!
Yikes, acid alright!
Gorgeous colour. I have a cardi in that shade. I really must hunt it out 😀
Yellow is not my colour. My skin tone is cool so it clashes horribly unless very very pale yellow.
If charity shop clothing racks are anything to go by, yellow isn’t many people’s colour — but they discover that too late 🤨
I never wear yellow, maybe I should? I like the rope, Jude. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Depends whether you have cool or warm skin tones Pete 😀
Normally, I look a little ‘tanned’. 🙂 And all during the summer, I am tanned. 🙂
Lovely details, Jude.
Definitely eye-catching!
Fabulous knot wonderfully photographed Jude 🙂
Thanks Brian!
Looks like it hasn’t been weathered yet. Effective photo – I can feel I can almost touch it.
The texture came out well in this shot, it was one thing about the rope that I wanted to portray so I am glad you felt that way 😊
How early was that, I didn’t think you were a morning person ? 🙂
Haha… Not that early, though by the amount of people you would have thought it was dawn. Probably 9:30 when I took this photo.
Great! 🙂 Absolutely lovely composition and texture, Jude 🙂
Thank you Dina, I was very happy with the way this one turned out.
