Constructed in 1816 as a salt warehouse serving the local fishing community. Don’t know what the rusty object was for, a kind of winch maybe? I must return and get a photo of the whole building.
Thanks Pete. Wordless isn’t a challenge of sorts, it’s just an excuse to post a photo on a Wednesday without the need for an explanation or the creation of a long post.
I am fond of rusty objects. Unless on my own house or car! This is a very old building and I must go and get a photo of it in its entirety once I have a car.
I enjoy looking at these sorts of textures. Great photos.
Thanks Lynette. This stuff always catches my eye!
Definitely a quilt in there
Definitely. The stone work also is like stained glass.
Now what is, or was, that rusty wheel a part of? I like it.

It’s a beautiful wall. Constructed in 1816.
Oh excellent..stone and rusting metal give some of the best textures
Indeed. I’m always on the lookout for rust!
A fabulous find Jude. Great composition 😀
Thank you BB. I’m itching to get out and do more photography.
Weather must be frustrating so much
Perfect choice for the challenge, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x

Beautiful textures!
Granite has so many colours in it. I love the way this has been constructed.
Great texture, I do want to run my hand over it.
Feel free Karen!
Rust and old stone make a great combination. Well spotted, Jude.
