last photo

Brian (aka Bushboy) is running a monthly challenge where he asks you to post the last photo on your SD card.

The rules are simple:
1. Post the last photo on your SD card or last photo on your phone for the 31st July.
2. No editing – who cares if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like or the subject matter didn’t cooperate.
3. You don’t have to have any explanations, just the photo will do
4. Create a Pingback to this post or link in the comments
5. Tag “The Last Photo”

I haven’t joined in with this challenge since January! Most of my photos since then have been from my garden and they usually appear on the Six on Saturday posts. This one however was the last photo on my phone taken at 11:19 on Friday after a walk around ‘my’ hill. Lucky we went early in the sunshine as shortly after this was taken the sea mist came in and until 17:00 we were in cloud and light rain whilst the rest of the country baked in 35°C heat!

This is a pathway alongside a row of terraced cottages about 100 yards from my house. I love this border. Now in late summer you see typical Cornish flowers – hydrangea, grasses and ferns, crocosmia, fuchsia and agapanthus flowers. I also envy the view they must have from their windows as they face towards the sea and Trencrom hill.

Last one on the way home after a walk up the hill.

  2. The colours are beautiful – so vibrant.

It’s lovely at this time of the year and there’s a pair of beautiful gates too.

How delightful. This border wouldn’t be out pf place in a much grander setting as well.

    Glorious!

Methinks you bought the wrong house! But I love this photo. 🙂 🙂 My last was Logan on a water slide. A bit too personal for WP.

Haven’t seen any of those for sale. One is a holiday let. We have a decent enough view and even a sea glimpse from the top of the stairs 😂

        And smelly cows 🤣🤣

        1. Heyjude says:

It’s the noise rather than the smell, and everyone here will have that problem.

That’s a wonderful inclusion for ‘last photo’, Jude.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Pete. I always have a look when passing, it’s such an attractive entrance to the cottages.

I’m in awe with how lush and green everything is!

    1. Heyjude says:

Do I ever mention how much rain we get? 🙄

      1. Joanne Sisco says:

And that’s the happy side effect!

  8. Rich colors and so and lush!

    1. Heyjude says:

It’s a lush part of the country!

    2. Cathy says:

Which side are the cottages, Jude? I couldn’t work it out – and is there a lane?

      1. Heyjude says:

The row of cottages are at a right angle to the lane and this path runs in front of them, so they are on the left. On the right are fields. I’ll find a post that shows the row from the hill so you can work it out. 😊

Last photo shows the cottages on the left-hand side. They face north east. Click here

        1. Cathy says:

That was really helpful Jude – I was able to work it out seeing that photo
