Mmm… you had me wondering if I do have a bigger picture so I went through the archives. Sadly not. It is part of the wall of a building in the pretty former fishing village of Porthleven – the Salt Cellar so I imagine the rusty object is part of some sort of winch?

I must go back and take more photos once I have transport!
I like the contrast between the rust and the wall and I feel that I want to reach out and touch… 🙂
The stonework is lovely, such patterns. And yes the rusty object is a good contrast.
