It’s September and almost the autumn equinox – which means days are growing shorter, sunsets are getting brighter and it is time for another visit to the Trengwainton Gardens near Penzance to see this year’s wonderful Scarecrow exhibition in the walled garden. They hold it every year and with a different theme each time and this year’s theme is about “Who I want to be when I grow up“. Always a delight to look around this garden and especially at this time of the year when the kitchen produce is so abundant. More from the garden itself later, but today it is six scarecrows on Saturday!

It seems these scarecrows are inviting visitors, not scaring anyone away. I like the artist with her painting.
