What is Cornwall in colours all about?
Simple really: the colours of the land, the sea and the sky. The yellows of the gorse, the oranges of the lichens, the greys of the granite and the gulls, the soft pinks of sea thrift and daisies, the rusty-red of autumn bracken, the purples of wild foxgloves and late summer heather, golden sandy bays and the blues and greens of the sea.
When we moved to Cornwall in 2016 we found the part we were most attracted to is practically the end of the county and indeed country, West Penwith is pretty much as it was hundreds, if not thousands of years ago, give or take the mining industry. Ancient Cornish hedges (never walls or hedgerows), pasture land, narrow lanes, virtually surrounded by water and very few towns. Mostly a string of hamlets along the remote roads. We now live on the edge of this peninsula and it often feels as though we are living in a different world.
I hope you will join me in this new adventure where I shall showcase the beauty of this county in photos, walks, gardens and all things Cornish.

Funny, I’m not a “TV” watcher but am in the midst of the Poldark series which I believe is the same location where you are. Lucky you, to be so remote and away from all the current goings on in the world. I often wish I could relocate to an even slower paced, sans tech world. Sounds like you may have found it. 🙂
It is definitely a slower pace of life down here! Though extremely crowded during the school holidays so not as peaceful as you imagine. Fortunately we live slightly inland from the coast.
