Just the one eye from me, I thought it was time for my favourite butterfly “Mr Grumpy” to have his moment of fame again. A face only a mother could love.

Magic image, Jude.
It sure is Suzanne.
Superb shot
Thanks Becky.
I love Mr Grumpy 🙂
I’m sure he appreciates that BB 💕
Oh, and that is one very big eye!
It’s always a surprise what you see with a proper macro lens.
Oh, do you think he looks grumpy? Serious, I’d say.
Seriously fed up with a camera poking at him!
😉
I like grumpy folk! I get lots of practise…
Now, now, that’s no way to talk about your wonderful husband. 😂
It is when he’s not listening! Come to think of it..he never listens 🤣💖 Love him dearly. Especially when he’s driving me somewhere nice 😁
Haha.. of course you do.
Love that close image – beautiful even if rather grumpy!
🙂
He probably objected to me thrusting the camera in his face!
Ha, yes, Mr Grumpy Gatekeeper, a butterfly that unfortunately l am seeing less of these days. Maybe that’s why he’s looking so grumpy: can’t find Mrs G!
I see fewer butterflies every year. It’s quite worrying.
Same here – last year was a very poor year for butterflies, although the year before was better. This last couple of years I’ve been delighted to see a couple of Gatekeepers in the garden – hadn’t noticed them before. I think they liked a new marjoram plant, so will plant some more.
To paraphrase an old pop song…..”nice wings, shame about the face”….
🤣
Wow! Stunning!
Thank you!
