Almost looks like my potting shed, although I don’t have a mustard tin on the bench 🙂

You say potato and I say pumpkin, it’s all kiwifruit and plums. I had a look and I don’t have a mustard tin either.
You know what I like? Custard and banana. The custard can be either hot or cold 😋

Gross! Fruit crumble, please. Funnily enough that almost made today’s post… but then it didn’t! Have a happy week, Brian and Jude!

Rhubarb and apple crumble for me 🙂
Have a fabulous one Jo 🙂

Bananas and custard was the staple dessert of my youth. And I still enjoy a toasted banana sandwich occasionally!

      2. Heyjude says:

Banana custard (preferably cold) was a childhood delight, but now I prefer a crumble with cream or ice-cream.

Lots of cobwebs here BB! Bit like inside my house… 😮

      1. bushboy says:

I am having the usual Summer explosion of cobwebs inside of the house and sheds 🙄 The birds seem to keep the verandahs clearer as they take web for their nests

        1. Verandahs plural, Brian! Now I am jealous.

And one that was converted into a sun room 🙂

Love this image, Jude, especially the grainy texture. Sheds I have known.

    1. Heyjude says:

I wish this was mine. It’s much cosier than my rotting wooden shed.

      1. Tish Farrell says:

The modern wooden shed tends not to have much ‘stamina’. My allotment one is beginning to lurch and it’s not very old.

I really like this. So atmospheric.

    1. Heyjude says:

Looks nice in B&W I think. Has a ’50s look about it.

      1. margaret21 says:

Yes indeed. The custard helps 😉

  4. Anyone for pudding in the shed? Yes thanks, I’ll have a bowl of hot custard please 😉.

    1. Heyjude says:

The custard tin really does make this photo doesn’t it? And in B&W it stands out well.

  5. beetleypete says:

The photo worked really well, but the tin of custard generated some great debate! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

Haha.. yes. I used to love banana and custard too. And didn’t we all utilise old tins to keep bits and bobs in?

  6. What a lovely evocative image. Made me feel quite nostalgic! This could have been our shed when I was little. It was more of an abandoned house than a shed, full of cobwebs and there would have been a custard tin and stacks of my granfer’s Old Holborn baccy tins for nails and screws.

    1. Heyjude says:

Oh, yes. I also had baccy tins and cigar boxes full of stuff. Probably still have one with needles and pins in it. ❤️

There’s a lovely nostalgic feel to this photograph…like peeping into your grandfather’s potting shed… 🙂
