Saturday Sketches #29

During the winter I take a break from the Six on Saturday meme as there is not much to record in my garden over the next few months (Plus it is too wet and cold to go out there). Instead I shall be posting photos that have been taken on my phone and edited with some of the different photo editing effects. Hence Saturday Sketches! Sadly nothing to do with my artistic talents – more the lack of!

iris reticulata ‘Alida’
Edited with the filter ‘coloured crayon’

Nope! Sorry, but this one’s too pretty to spoil with a sketch. Fog gone yet?

I thought it brought the colours out beautifully 🙁 and it is still raining ☔ 🌧️

I like the bold colours Jude 🙂

  3. It’s interesting … and it does look a bit like a crayon colouring picture 😉. But I think, in this case, I prefer the original photo.

As usual artworks are very subjective. 😊

You know me, Jude. Like Jo and Wet and Dusty Roads, I’d have preferred an image of the real thing.

But then it wouldn’t be a Saturday sketch!

Plus you got to see the actual flower in Monday’s post.

What a lovely and interesting perspective the crayon filter provides!

I thought that it brought out the colours beautifully and it is just a bit of fun on a dull day.

It certainly looks like coloured crayons, Jude.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

I thought so. Just a bit of fun.

Pretty colours and it does look like a crayon used on a textured paper.

    1. Heyjude says:

Alida is a lovely colour. I do like the blue irises.

      1. Ann Mackay says:

They are gorgeous – inspiration for future planting!

    Love it

  9. I hope that caterpillar didn’t gobble up your beautiful flower.

  10. That is gorgeous, Jude. I love the bright colours and texture.
