Saturday Sketches #27

During the winter I take a break from the Six on Saturday meme as there is not much to record in my garden over the next few months (Plus it is too wet and cold to go out there). Instead I shall be posting photos that have been taken on my phone and edited with some of the different photo editing effects. Hence Saturday Sketches! Sadly nothing to do with my artistic talents – more the lack of!

A place I’d love to mooch round. What effect have you used on this one? 🤔💕

    1. Heyjude says:

Coloured pencil I think. I really must make better notes. 🤔

        🤣💕

Oh, I love how the cobbles take centre stage.

    1. Heyjude says:

They are quite magnificent. You do have to watch where you put your feet 😳

Not really suited for a bike tour 😉🤣

Or prams. Unless you have good suspension.

I love these photos. I love rocks. I can see some craftsman laying these rock which requires a lot of work. Beautiful.

    1. Heyjude says:

Because this causeway is under water twice a day it requires regular maintenance.

Thanks for that information – very interesting. I am sure water causes a lot of problems to these rocks. You could say maintaing this area is a labor of love.

This one works well for me because it still looks like a photo. I had to enlarge it to see the effect.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

Another subtle one. Just a bit of tweaking to bring out the colours.

Your photos and especially the composition of them are indeed words of artistry! Bravo!

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks John, that’s very kind of you.

I really like the effect in these because it’s very subtle and gives both images a lift, but keeps the photographic look. Makes the cobbles look beautiful.

    1. Heyjude says:

It did bring out the colours in the stone. Some of these cobbles are pretty large!

      1. Ann Mackay says:

The shape of them reminds me of the tops of loaves of bread!

  8. I like it a lot, Jude.

      Good to know Janet.

Excellent choice for your editing talents Jude – a beautiful scene. I also love the way the cobblestones show up in your header. Here in Charleston women break their ankles all the time on our colonial era cobbled streets. Me, I’m a sneakers gal myself LOL.

    1. Heyjude says:

You certainly would not want to cross this causeway in heels!
