Despite the recent harsh weather (weeks of heavy rain and last night’s snowfall) this pretty little Hellebore is the first to flower. It resides on the north facing steps in the courtyard and it appears that there are also some bulbs in this pot – possibly tulips. We shall have to wait a few months yet to see which ones!

And this flower is blooming even after your heavy rain and snow …? That’s pretty amazing!
They are tough! And should be in flower for months, though this one only has one other bud.
