My Twelve Days of Christmas #2

On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to meTwo turtledovesAnd a partridge in a pear tree

The Twelve Days of Christmas start on Christmas Day and last until the evening of the 5th January – also known as Twelfth Night. The Twelve Days have been celebrated in Europe since before the middle ages and were a time of celebration. I may not have a partridge or a pear tree, or even a turtle dove, but I have selected 12 photos from December / January to get me through this period.

What pretty blooms, Jude – shame they can be on the tender side

Yes. I’d like to try one, but I don’t have much in the way of shelter up here.

And presumably they would not be cheap to buy so not worth risking if you can’t be sure you can give it the optimum conditions

  2. A very pretty colour Jude – we used to have a peach coloured one in our garden here in Perth but alas it didn’t thrive. I think pinks and greens are a lovely colour scheme for Christmas 🙂
