a week of flowers

I shall be joining Cathy of ‘Words and Herbs’ in her aim to bring cheer to the dark days of December. Back in 2017 (can it really be five years ago?) I had an Alternative Advent Calendar on my flower blog showing the wonderful flowers that were in bloom along the George V Memorial Walk in Hayle during November. I haven’t been able to get to the garden this November so I am going to reuse those beautiful blooms which hopefully will bring some brightness into our lives.

Lycianthes rantonnetii, the blue potato bush or Paraguay nightshade

Such a pretty plant – I’d be tempted to try growing it here but I doubt that our winters would be mild enough.
