This clematis (unknown variety) grows alongside my conservatory in amongst the jasmine and a white climbing rose. This year it has flowered the best it ever has, but my Clematis ‘Princess Kate’ which grows alongside this one is nowhere to be seen!
News update: Kate has appeared but strangely she is pure white! I think possibly because the other clematis and the rose have overgrown so she is totally in the shade. Going to have to do a lot of cutting back soon!
Well, it’s a shame about the one that has disappeared, but this one is very pretty.

Always work, work, work in the garden.
Another favourite of mine. I grew them when we lived in Wimbledon, and they looked after themselves very well
Best wishes, Pete. x
Yes, if they get established they aren’t much trouble except for clematis wilt. I tend to have hit and miss results with them.
I don’t know how “Princess Kate” looks, but I’m sure this clematis is making up for the absence of the “princess” … it’s simply beautiful!
Kate is quite pretty with a similar coloured back but white bell-shaped flowers. I do hope she returns.

Oh yes, she is beautiful indeed!
Could it be Madame Julia Correvon, Jude?
It certainly has similar characteristics and colour.
