That’s a great shot! Were you on a pier, or something? Well done young Norrie, last night. Next, the big test….

Up on the Malakoff which is where the buses are. High above the beaches.

    Yes, Jo’s right. Great shot.

Great scene with that one person almost surrounded by water.

  3. Sandra says:

    Absolutely. Love this!

  4. Toonsarah says:

Great shot, as the others have said – that lone person is perfectly positioned!

    1. Heyjude says:

      Yes, serendipity!

  5. Great composition.

Thanks Andrew, I have a wider version which is even better, but I’m saving it for my end of the month post.

  6. Photographic demonstration of the phrase โ€œleft high and dry.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha, yes. He had to start moving pretty sharply, the tide can come in very quickly.

      1. I was thinking more of the boats but it would work for him as well. Itโ€™s a lovely shot.

        1. Heyjude says:

I hadn’t even thought about the boats as I am so used to seeing them ‘beached’ at low tide. It’s very different when the water comes in.

  7. That is a great photo! I love all the colours of the water and sand, the single person focus, and the boats behind.

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Megan, it was a lucky shot taken whilst waiting for a bus!

      1. Those kind of photos are often the best, arenโ€™t they?

  8. This is a view I can appreciate! Love the boats on the sand and the one and only person on the white sandy beach … it makes me want to see more of what’s around!

You will see a wider view of this scene at the end of the month. St Ives is a very picturesque former fishing village. Now sadly very much a tourist town and heaving in the school holidays.

That’s a cracking photo, Jude. The solitary person on the beach sets it off beautifully.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Pete. I was lucky to catch the chap on the beach – actually there were two, but I waited until one of them was out of shot.
