Those western skies again. We have had a lot of low cloud at night lately, and very humid temperatures at night. I haven’t noticed any such wonderful sunsets.

Nothing like finishing a day with a colourful sky. Autumn is I think the best time here for bright coloured sunrises and sunsets. Might have something to do with more cloudy days 😉
Autumn and winter are best, but spring can throw up some beauties. Last night we were in the cloud after heavy rainfall when suddenly at sunset the cloud lifted and there was a pink sky! Half an hour earlier we couldn’t even see the bottom of our garden.

It was the mackerel sky that caught my eye earlier in the evening. Then I noticed the pink in the clouds.
