Tulips make me happy. Although I have learned to love other spring bulbs over the last six years I still look forward to the time when my tulips open. These though are not mine. They were flowering in the Mediterranean biome at the Eden Project when I visited at the end of March. Definitely my kind of colours though…
what I describe as ‘jewel’ colours consisting of deep glossy garnet reds, golden ambers, seductive deep purples that are almost black, burnt oranges, cinnamon and rust, gleaming golds amid burnished coppers – the colours of a sunrise or a sunset.
I am going to join in with Dawn’s Festival of Spring which will last for 10 -12 weeks in celebration of this season.
I’m not a gardener but I do plan on finding some cut tulips soon to have in my home.
These are gorgeous, thanks for linking up.
