A development on the North Quay – a mix of apartments, town houses and commercial. Great location, but they are far too expensive for local people. A one bed apartment sold for £262k, 2 bed apartment £424k, 3 bed townhouse around £600k. And this is in Hayle, not the most attractive town. Many locals depend on tourism work such as hospitality so don’t earn a lot and less over winter.
Sounds just like here. First home buyers priced right out of the market. We were lucky to buy back in 1998 when a slump was on, and it was a buyers market.
Most of our winter days are exactly like that – perfect. We’ve had some very hot days this summer but today is showery and only 23 degrees, so that’s a nice change.
A place to sit and ponder the beauty of nature.
Yes. It is a lovely view, just a shame that the peace is disrupted by building works along the quay.
Oh dear you have a building frenzy going on too…

I love the vastness of that first/header shot. So pretty.
It’s not a bad view on a trip to the supermarket!
Not at all!!
What a beautiful day!
Indeed. If only all winter days could be like this I’d not mind the season so much.

That’s the sort of temperature I enjoy. Without the showers preferably 😊
We’re always happy to see more rain. It’s all relative, isn’t it. 🙂
