This month Becky is running her square challenge where the only rule is that the main photo must be square – not rectangular – 4 equal sides. The subject this July is ‘Trees’. You are quite free to interpret that any way you want and post as frequently as you want. As I am running a colour challenge myself over on my Travel blog I have decided that I will join in on a weekly basisΒ using several photos around a specific theme. This week I have chosen the topic of unusual trees. But, since all my trees are not from Cornwall, I am posting my ideas on myΒ flower blog which, until recently, has been hibernating. Please visit to check out my chosen trees.
However, I did find a tree in Cornwall last Saturday and it is unusual:
The Tree of Life by Michael Chaikin in the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, Gulval.
It wasn’t until I was close up that I noticed the figures among the leaves.
If you like trees and squares then pop over to Becky’s page to find out how to join in.
This is quite lovely. Some people are so clever and talented.
Not so keen on the whole tree in this location but I loved the close up.
It was difficult to get a good shot of the whole tree as too much in the background no matter which way I looked.

Isn’t that clever. π
Nice sculpture find Jude π π
Lucky find BB. Saw it and thought, perfect for my unusual tree post!
Woo-hoo! This deserves a Maine “wowsah!”
Haha… thanks for that Laurie π
I rather like that π
What a fun tree to find! A very different sort of tree π
Indeed. And unexpected too!
Love the people petals.
Fabulously different, and perfectly square – I love it. And yes the link did work!
I wouldn’t mind this at my place!
I was thinking the same! My place, not yours!
Maybe we could alternate!
