On my way to the supermarket last week I was distracted by the colour of the water as I crossed the causeway. I am used to seeing shades of aquamarine in the sea, but rarely this colour in the river. So before doing the weekly shop I had a stroll along the river.

It was an extremely windy day and not particularly warm, but the walk along the river was pleasant enough and although you can’t reach Hayle or Porthkidney beaches from here there are some sand dunes along the river offering shelter from the wind and where a few people were sitting and enjoying the views.
And over on Hayle beach the kitesurfers were having a lot of fun.
That’s a lovely color in the water and great views. I can see why you stopped.
It’s a nice little walk alongside the river/harbour.
Hayle Beach certainly looks welcoming to me about now. The western U.S. is under a “heat Dome” with triple digits Fahrenheit.
Yes, I heard that and parts of Canada. How awful. I hope it cools down soon.
What a lovely place for a walk.
A nice little detour from the car park. River one side, harbour the other and beach at the end. Shame there isn’t a footbridge over the river.
Beautiful colours Jude
What a lovely place to be! It looks very inviting, especially with the beautiful colours of the sea and sky.
