April is a square month and this year Becky wants us to find the bright things in life. I had a few ideas all relating to Cornwall of course with my coruscating seas and cloudless skies, happy, shiny people and bright lights, but then I decided upon showcasing all the bright and beautiful flora found in the county as a tribute to theย first everย Squares in September 2017 which was all about flowers. So prepared to be dazzled.
To celebrate this last day of bright squares here are some of my wonderful bright tulips that have made April a joyful month for me in my garden. And thank you Becky once more for being the perfect host of this wonderful challenge.

oh these are stunning, and they are all out – we are still a week or more away with some of ours.
Your floral series has been a glorious tribute to the first, and a joy to visit with every day feeling bright after a visit here ๐ thank you so much Jude.
I would have thought you’d be at the same time, but then I remembered that you have had a lot of frosty nights this month.
Think we had frost at least 20 nights, and the cold winds during the day haven’t helped either. Still at least we get to enjoy our tulips in May – along as of course they are done by mid/late may as two pots are usually my cucumber pots!!
That certainly would hold them back. Most of mine are over now, but the alliums and camassia are on their way.
yay for alliums and camassias – the latter I always think of in May for the long grass where the daffodils are but never think of them when I need to plant them!
My camassias haven’t returned as well as they did last year, sadly.

Amazing – how wonderful to see these bright blooms. My tulips are way off from yours- hopefully warmer days will help them along. Loved seeing your images. ๐
Where are you located then?
These are a truly bright way to finish off the month.
All ok after yesterday? ๐ ๐
Bit of a sore arm. He wasn’t as good as the first chap, didn’t feel a thing then. Which vaccine did you get?
Pfizer. You? ๐ค๐
Same. But OH had AZ so be interesting to see if there is any difference.
How lovely these are. I’ve posted tulips today as well, and seeing your lovely ones makes me feel that next year I’ll be planting more!
Beautiful cheery Tulips… yours are really blooming, they are such a mood booster under the sun.
I have mine in the garden but my daughter often plays in the garden and some bulbs were smashed by the ball…Gardening and children are not really a good combo arenยดt they?
Love your April series of Aquares…kepp it up!
Thanks Christina! Gardens and children aren’t a great combination, but the children will grow up and then you can get stuck in! Perhaps plant your tulips in pots then you can move them out of the way of the football ๐
I had a painful arm after my second vaccination. The nurse just ‘threw’ it in, like a dart. Only lasted two days though.
Well done with all your selections for April’s challenge, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete, glad you enjoyed the flowers ๐
Hoping your weekend is a bright one.
Well the sun is back after a couple of days of rain, but I think the temperatures are going to plummet again!
Ah, lovely and bright!
Glorious tulips. I’m glad you and your sweetheart have got your vaccines. Pete’s comment made me laugh out loud. I dare say that makes me very unsympathetic. ๐
I think that’s the way they were taught to do it back in the day! I never felt a thing with my first one, but the second left me bleeding so I got a plaster. No lollipop though ๐ฅ
