Bright Squares

April is a square month and this year Becky wants us to find the bright things in life. I had a few ideas all relating to Cornwall of course with my coruscating seas and cloudless skies, happy, shiny people and bright lights, but then I decided upon showcasing all the bright and beautiful flora found in the county as a tribute to the first ever Squares in September 2017 which was all about flowers. So prepared to be dazzled.

It took me a while to work out what this was. I was originally thinking squashed peppers!

An unusual shrub. Took me a while to get an id.

  3. I had to check the tags to find out what these were. Very unusual shapes but a lovely colour.

Phew not just me who is intrigued by these – for a moment I was thinking bizarre lemons!!! Thank goodness for tags to enlighten us all 🙂

That’s exactly what I though when I first looked, hehe! Beautifully bright… 🙂

  5. I thought these were some kind of pepper or chilli, until I checked the tag. They are a rather strangely shaped flower.

A bit like birds foot trefoil but on a shrub.

I thought they were ‘unknown vegetables’ at first. Lovely colour, Jude.

My first thought was a small pepper, too. Wonderful color to them.
