That miserable sight is just about as good as I feel this morning. What ever happened to personal liberty? I cannot believe the latest proposals from the UK government. Sorry, Jude! I’m in a bad place today.

Oh, dear, what’s he done to upset you now!? 🤔

Apparently there are proposals to impose a £5000 fine on anyone taking a holiday abroad this year. I don’t know when or for how long. 🤔💕

        1. Heyjude says:

Just for now I believe. Nothing has changed re holidays yet, which is 12 April for S/C and 17 May for B&B, hotels and possibly abroad. This depends on the infections abroad of course. I can understand that people want to see family, but holidays abroad are a bit of a luxury.

        2. restlessjo says:

I agree. I don’t have any desire to holiday abroad but I do need to see my kids and there’s a fine line. Some people will always get away with it or bend the rules to suit.

Visiting family should be an exemption, but I agree that many would take advantage of that. I just want to see my new grandson who is 7 months old now, hopefully by late May.

Aww bless! I was just talking to James on his way home. Always puts a smile on my face 🤗💕

Any luck on the house hunt? I guess they really need to get a mortgage offer in place first though.

        6. restlessjo says:

Highly complicated and no, not much luck 😦

Has me thinking what, where….but great textures

One of my January ‘browns’ that didn’t make it. A boarded up window in a barn that caught the late afternoon sun.

      1. Sue says:

I think the light is rather wonderful, Jude

        1. Su Leslie says:

I agree with Sue. Thanks for the explanation Jude

Quite desolate Jude but a fabulous photo 🙂 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

Just a boarded up window in a barn nearby that faces the setting sun. Well it did in January!

      1. bushboy says:

The seemingly mundane can be quite lovely. Well found Jude 🙂

        1. Heyjude says:

I was on the look out for brown!

  4. Lovely textures and structure there!

    1. Heyjude says:

I thought so. And the way the late afternoon sun hit it.

There is beauty in deterioration, I think. Why can’t I remember that when I look in a mirror?!

I like the light in this photo a lot. That lovely light, not long before sunset. Great shot, Jude.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

Yes, the golden hour. Thanks Pete 😊

  7. Something old and dilapidated turned into a fine photo.

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Frank, it’s really just the window that is a bit dilapidated, the building looks fine.

  8. Rupali says:

    Fantastic use of light Jude.

    1. Heyjude says:

      Thank you Rupali.

  9. BeckyB says:

Great light, I really like this 😀

    1. Heyjude says:

One of the browns that didn’t get published, but I do like the light.

      1. BeckyB says:

        Lots of history here too
