A lovely sunny day by the looks of it. Love those telephone boxes or are they now mostly AED boxes?

    1. Heyjude says:

I don’t know what AED boxes are! I think this still has a telephone, but I will check next time we visit.

      1. BeckyB says:

Maybe it will end up being one of the ones the local community can purchase!

        1. Heyjude says:

I think these are all holiday lets rather than permanent homes.

        2. BeckyB says:

          ooh not so good

Figured it out. Defibrillator boxes. Accident and Emergency?

      1. Suzanne says:

That’s the one. We saw quite a few around various villages in Cornwall and Devon. Not all in letterboxes.

Peaceful in your bit of the world. Big, ‘keep out’ wall πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. Heyjude says:

      We say ‘secluded garden’ ☺️

          All holiday lets I think.

  3. Sue says:

That phone box surely isn’t used!

    1. Heyjude says:

I haven’t checked, but it’s possible that the mobile phone signal is weak there.

    2. Heyjude says:

Or used to store a defibrillator as Suzanne suggested. I’ll have to check next time we go there.

      1. Sue says:

        I think you should, Jude

Wonderful photo. Love this telephone booth. We have no telephone booths in America anymore.

    1. Heyjude says:

Guess you have to hope you never lose your mobile phone!

      1. peggy says:

Yes everyone relies on mobile phones in America.

Nice to see the old phone box, working or not. So many have been removed now, I think the classic red ones should have been ‘listed’.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

That would have been a good idea.

  6. Graham says:

Regardless of the status of the phone box, I like this photo. Something very pleasing about the white walls, green ivy, red phone box, steep hillside, and winding road.

    1. Heyjude says:

      Very much the south-west.

      1. Graham says:

Perhaps that’s it. Reminded me of places I went when I lived there.

  7. Gorgeous! And a reminder about those narrow UK roads – nerve wracking in a hire car. πŸ™‚

    1. Heyjude says:

You would hate my road πŸ˜‚

      1. I might have to park and walk. lol

  8. I love the old phone box. Also saw one in a back garden here in Belgium, not entirely clear how it got here! Could be a replica, they are iconic.

    1. Heyjude says:

How cool! I’d like one in my garden.

  9. Tina Schell says:

The little phone booth is perfect!

  10. Pat says:

What a wonderfully composed photograph. I love it – it seems to tell a story of lives lived.
