Being forced into yet another lockdown and being confined to our local area I had the idea of going out each day with a different theme in mind. Continuing looking at clouds in February in other locations. Never far from home though.

inspired by the colours of the land, sea and sky of Cornwall

A peaceful little spot 🙂 🙂
St. Uny? Who he/she?
The church of St Uny in Lelant is made entirely from granite and dedicated to Saint Uny (Euny) who is also the patron saint of Redruth. Uny and Herygh (patron of St Erth) were the brothers of St Ia, patron of St Ives (St Ia was an Irish princess who evangelised part of Cornwall). I believe most if not all of these saints came across from Ireland!
They do tend to, don’t they? Thanks for that!
And did it rain, Jude??
No, these photos are after the rain, the clouds are moving away.
Oh, OK
I really like the composition of the top photo – the wide view and the placement of the tower and the clouds. It creates a bit of tension between them – a fine balance between a lovely day and a rainy one.
One of those days where it can’t quite make its mind up!
I appreciate that balance, too.
Thank you.
That heavy dark cloud looks just those that usually like to follow me around Beetley. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete,. x
Plenty of heavy dark clouds this winter, but I prefer them to the flat grey blanket which sucks all the light out of the day.
So do I, Jude!
Despite the dark cloud, I find this a very soothing view. Nicely done.
