Often you think it is all over and then five minutes later the colours just erupt! Like the one tomorrow, which will be the last for now as I haven’t seen a sunset in a couple of weeks!
Sometimes you are never quite sure whether the sky will clear enough for the setting sun to ‘do its thing’ so I was watching this carefully. No dramatic colours, but that last sunburst lit the clouds.
Hmmmm…..Sunset Skies – that sounds like so perfect “S” words to me Jude! Beautiful scene. We didn’t get much sun this month down here either. Fortunately February is coming to a close and so is our dreary, rainy weather π€
Nothing more grim than day after day of grey skies. It’s normal here though during January and February. I am hoping for some sunnier days to arrive shortly though!
We broke through after 3 weeks of rain and gray skies. Yesterday’s sun was like an amazing gift. We take our sunny skies for granted here – hopefully we’ll learn to appreciate it a bit better now!
Yes, I like these kind of smoke and flames π π
I thought this one would appeal to you.
I’m collecting green at the moment. Got to stay ahead of the game π€£. Good win for Novak π
I wasn’t too bothered about the final as I don’t particularly like either player. A shame Medvedev couldn’t do a bit more. Roll on the French Open!
Neither do I but it was a good time of day to watch and I expected good tennis. The first set was brilliant. π π
Yes. Pity it didn’t go to more sets.
Almost like a bushfire on the horizon.
That’s what I thought, it’s hard to see on the photo, but that bottom cloud was rimmed in gold.
Wow
A fiery sky! In a good way.
Amazing. Makes me think of Daphne Du Maurier and Jamaica Inn somehow.
Mmm… OK π
Lovely. And it could multi-task as a rich yellow too.
Now why didn’t I think of that. I could have done a two in one post today!
Multi-tasking is what we women do best π
A super sky well captured.
Just point the camera and press the button John – or in this case the phone. The sky painter does all the work. π
Fire in the sky!
It certainly looked like it. I was keeping my eye on the sky that evening as there was a lot of black clouds around.
And patience paid off

Ah, OK…..I must say I havenβt been watching the evening sky
I love the second image – it’s stunning. There is such drama in the contrast between the fiery sky and the dark, menacing clouds. π

It was worth the wait!
That’s a corker, Jude. Quite a ‘scary sky’! π
Best wishes, Pete. x
Yes, the sun appeared to set fire to the clouds that evening. Never the same sunset.

I appreciate every single one we get!
