light and shade

A short series of views from around Trencrom hill taken in early January 2021. Being forced into yet another lockdown and being confined to our local area I had the idea of going out each day with a different theme in mind. This second series is all about light and shade.

Glorious the way the sun lights up the world! Another beauty, Jude 🙂 🙂 Happy Monday!

Yes. Sunlight in winter is so precious and the contrast with those black skies is undeniably beautiful.

Ah, the light on the tree trunks!

The wonderful golden light of a low winter sun.

        Yes, exactly

Those roads going through ‘leafy glades’ are one of my favourite things to see when driving around in England.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

There are hardly any more trees once you leave this lane and head west. Just shrubby little things! What I love about West Penwith is the bleakness and raw beauty of a land that looks untouched, though it obviously was during the mining years.

Where could that be but England, eh?

The sun make me feel so hopeful – it holds promises of spring. 🙂

Gone into hiding again here, but I did see something which looked like sunlight earlier in the day!

Haven’t managed to get out much since these photos! But the bulbs are coming so there is hope.

I am imagining that tunnel in fresh green spring leaves

I must do a sequence of these lanes in the spring. I did an entire year of walking the lanes around here a few years ago, but I don’t think I captured all the trees.

      1. Murtagh's Meadow says:

That would be lovely to see

So very English. I hope you show us these again when spring has sprung

    1. Heyjude says:

I shall have to try and remember to do that.

      1. pommepal says:

        I’ll watch for it
