A beautiful composition. Would make a lovely water colour painting🎨

      It would by you!

I feel like I’m wandering the lanes with you 🙂 🙂

Got your wellies on? And a stick. It’s a tad slippery out there today with underlying snow still.

I’m sat glued to the telly- haven’t made it out of jamas yet. A riveting morning’s tennis 🙂 🙂

That black sky in the background was the reason we went this way for a shorter walk. It contrasted nicely with the sunny places.

      1. BeckyB says:

we’re getting a lot of these wonderful contrasts at the moment, if only I wasn’t in suburbia!

        1. Heyjude says:

There must be something in suburbia that is worth focusing on? How about Covid signs!

        2. BeckyB says:

          lol!!! Maybe . . . . . .

        3. Heyjude says:

A record of a year none of us will forget. Not many signs in the countryside.

        4. BeckyB says:

          That’s a good point.

  3. Lovely quality of light.

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks John. Exactly what I was aiming for.

That just says ‘summer’ to me. Although maybe the branches are a bit nude.

    Lovely light, Jude!

    1. Heyjude says:

Thanks Sue. This had that lovely contrast between the sunshine and the dark clouds.

      1. Sue says:

        Which is great light

  6. Oh those lovely English country lanes…I imagine this view looks lovely in summer too with the hedgerows full of life.

    1. Heyjude says:

A green tunnel along this lane. Cow parsley etc in the hedgerow.

      1. That’s what I thought. My mother-in-law lives on a similarly English lane in the Kentish countryside.

  7. Loving your cloud photos, gives me some inspiration ! 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

I needed inspiration. I was getting very bored of tramping the same few lanes.

      1. Us too, round and round the same walk, albeit with a few choices to be made at the top, left or right at this juncture? But always back the same way…. At least we are not stuck in a city and we can watch the changing seasons! 🙂

        1. Heyjude says:

True. Should improve as things begin to grow. Did you have any snow yesterday?

        2. Just a sprinkling but it did make it look extra pretty for a while. 🙂

        3. Heyjude says:

Still lingering up here, but then it is high up on the downs.

  8. Ann Mackay says:

The light is great, especially in the second photo. It really makes the image come alive.

    1. Heyjude says:

It was very dark over the hill!

A perfect ‘English Countryside’ photo, Jude.
We had more heavy snow last night, but the sun is out and blinding me this morning.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

A bit grey here today and bitterly cold, but dry. No snow in St Ives so it must just have been on the higher ground.
