Up on High
Always the optimist, Becky is hoping that 2021 will be a more positive year as we march onwards and upwards. Yes, the theme for January Squares is the word ‘up’ and as usual she invites us all to join her in a month of ‘ups’ of any description. The only absolute rule is that your main photograph must be SQUARE, and remember a square has 4 equal sides.
Now they must have great views
Oh, yes.
Oooh, I’m not sure I’d live there. Far too near the edge for a Yorkshire type whose coastline is in parts vanishing into the sea.
There have been several landslips here too!
Even Fountains Abbey had one the other day.
That’s nice! 🤗💕💕
Given the levels of coastal erosion in this country, that is now too close to the edge for comfort. Shame tough, as it must be a lovely place to live.
Best wishes, Pete. x
A new build, just along from this photo has built an extremely strong sea wall. Must have cost as much as the house!
At first I thought – how wonderful and how the views must be amazing, and then I read the comments… After a re think – it’s too near the edge for me!
Yes, there can be such a thing as being too close to the sea. I think I prefer my distant sea views.
I’d like to be close-ish. Somewhere with no danger of plunged down a cliff, or where the sea spray would be on my windows all the time – imagine the cleaning!
LOL, me too! I’ll just have to make do with my imaginary views… 🙂
I want to visit that cliff!!!!
That cliff better be more stable than ones I know. Pity the arrogant homeowner who believes money spent on walls can prevent erosion by the sea.
