Square January #18

Looking Up

Always the optimist, Becky is hoping that 2021 will be a more positive year as we march onwards and upwards. Yes, the theme for January Squares is the word ‘up’ and as usual she invites us all to join her in a month of ‘ups’ of any description. The only absolute rule is that your main photograph must be SQUARE, and remember a square has 4 equal sides.

Oh, that’s delightful! We ought to have a Robin Day. I’ve seen quite a few good robin pictures on WP lately, and this is up there with the best.

That’s a good idea. They are the easiest birds to photograph as they don’t immediately fly away when you take a camera out 😂

  2. I’ve seen a few robins lately in people’s posts. This one is lovely too.

What a lovely Robin. I like how they rarely seem to be scared of us, and can hold their spot for a considerable time. Perhaps they have learned that they have nothing to fear from humans?
    Best wishes, Pete. x

They love to follow gardeners so they can grab the worms we disturb, though in these days of no-dig horticulture maybe we are not as favourable as we were.

  4. Smiling … but oh wait (but not on the smiles), you call these robins? Quite different from robins on my side of the pond. Although I see a bit of a resemblance, so they could be cousins.

I have heard that. Do your robins have a lovely song?

      1. Yes … I’m sure a Google search will show them to you.

Cornwall has such beautiful robins! I love ours in the U.S. but they’re not nearly as lovely to look at.
