Square January #9

UPCyCLE
Repainted nest of tables – coloured pencil

Always the optimist, Becky is hoping that 2021 will be a more positive year as we march onwards and upwards. Yes, the theme for January Squares is the word ‘up’ and as usual she invites us all to join her in a month of ‘ups’ of any description. The only absolute rule is that your main photograph must be SQUARE, and remember a square has 4 equal sides.

Oh, good for you! Is this a project?

These are the finished article, three shades of teal, though not so clear in the sketch. The colour of the sea here. 😊

me again – this looks so different on the laptop compared to the phone. On the phone I didn’t get to see the whole picture just all the colours, most strange. Love how there are squares within squares

The phone app has a lot of flaws.

Nice project, Jude. Is that a ‘coloured pencils’ filter? (Or just my old eyes..)
    Best wishes, Pete. x

    1. Heyjude says:

      Yes. A filter Pete 😊

Very effective use of the filter – love the results – and the rug too. 🙂

Thanks Ann. I don’t do much photography indoors, but needs must!

Your tables look great against the rug.

    1. Heyjude says:

I bought the rug to match the tables, both are ‘temporary’ but we’ve had them nearly 5 years now! 😂

  7. Graham says:

I like how the filter gives the tables a nice patina. Well done.

  8. bushboy says:

Great job and photo Jude. The photo effect works a treat on the tables and the rug 🙂

    1. Heyjude says:

It works well with strong and contrasting colours.

  9. Love the sea greens. 🙂

I wanted some Cornish colours in my house. Haven’t yet got around to painting (m)any walls, but painted furniture does the trick!
