Close UP
Always the optimist, Becky is hoping that 2021 will be a more positive year as we march onwards and upwards. Yes, the theme for January Squares is the word ‘up’ and as usual she invites us all to join her in a month of ‘ups’ of any description. The only absolute rule is that your main photograph must be SQUARE, and remember a square has 4 equal sides.
I like this soft-focus Jude. Very relaxing.
Love this close-up, Jude!
One of the plants that didn’t survive the beast from the east.
Oh ☹️
Nice colours 🙂 🙂
That’s an unusual plant, (at least to me) and looks good up close.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Just an unusual flower of a sempervivum. Getting close reveals hidden details.
How beautiful.
This reminds me of Venetian millefiori glass. Lovely colours.
Lovely photograph – sad that the Beast got it.
Yes. It was a pretty flower. I aimed to redo my belfast sink and fill it with succulents (the more hardy ones), but then couldn’t get to my local succulent nursery in the spring. Hope I can do that this year. Or maybe I should turn it into a pond?
The frogs will probably vote for a pond… 🙂 I miss going to nurseries too – hope that it’s not too long before we can get back to them – and to visit gardens.
Frogs would be good if they eat the slugs! The OH is not keen on frogs though…
Beautiful shot, Jude. I love all the little spiky bits. 🙂
This is a stunning shot Jude. So sad that the plant didn’t survive
I can replace it if I can visit the nursery in spring.
oh isn’t this gorgeous, a stunning close up and love the colours too
