We had a full Moon on Thursday, October 1st, which was the Harvest Moon, and again on Saturday, October 31st (a rare Halloween Moon). Because October had two full moons scheduled, the latter full moon is dubbed as the blue moon.
And in case you were wondering it doesn’t actually look blue.
You’re not wrong. I was wondering! Happy Wednesday, Jude 🙂 🙂
The Halloween Moon lit up the sky around here. But it was so cold and damp out, I couldn’t be bothered to go outside to take any photos. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
I took this one through a window Pete!
On my morning walk, it appeared to have some blue against the blue sky.
Ah, nice ones
It was very bright and clear here too.
It was a wonderful moon that night. But you took the photo so I didn’t have to.
All full moons look the same to me, unless you catch them rising. And a cloudless sky. Though I prefer to try and photograph a moon among cloud as otherwise the light is too bright.
It was a cloudless sky. Quite rare here, which was why it looked so wonderful.
I have Velux windows in my bedroom so when there’s a full moon it can be as bright as daylight!
I’d have said it was a beautiful pale blue from your picture. It was overcast here so I couldn’t see it on the night.
