cornwall in colours: orange

Tulipa ‘Orange Emperor’  are old bulbs which I planted in the raised herb bed in 2016. They were gorgeous in spring 2017, but only a few appear each spring since. This year I have five lovely flowers in one clump, but only one flower and several leaves in another.

Tulipa “Orange Emperor” – March 23 2020

Whilst we are confined to #StayAtHome I will be posting photos from around my house and garden to hopefully cheer us all up.

And so unexpected! After last year I wasn’t expecting any to appear this spring. They last for a couple of weeks too which is nice.

Thank you Robyn. We are hitting tulip season now (my favourite flower) so every day I awake wondering which one might be open today!

Isn’t that the best? I just love the anticipation of what my garden will surprise me with next I find things I’ve forgotten about. Suddenly there’s a bloom and I enjoy it all over again. I do envy you your tulips Hope you’ll share some more photos.
