The current stormy conditions are keeping me indoors, so time to look at some of the photos that I took before the end of the year but never made it onto the blog. This is a photo that has been shown before, but not quite like this. The way these trees frame the lane on the bend of the hill always catch my eye, there is something about the composition which appeals to me.
The conversion to black and white and the silver effect gives the impression of a heavy frost or even snow. It hasn’t been quite that cold here, but it has been dismal. During the winter months the structure of the limbs and branches of the trees create a pleasing shape and here they are magnificent in isolation.
stunning in b&w, it feels like an etching
Yes, it has that sort of look.
I love this Jude; the composition and editing are great. I want to rug up and walk over that hill
I agree with Becky. This image has an etching kind of look to it. This time of year certainly lends itself to b&w images!
Another raw day today, but it is very green around here with all the rain we have been having. Your world is probably much more black and white at the moment 😊
With emphasis on the white part. We had more snow overnight 😕
Brrr…
Exactly.
