A short stroll along a harbour quay, cautiously peering into moored fishing boats (there are no railings to prevent you from falling into the water) provides a photo opportunity for capturing the colours of Cornwall. Even on a dull November day, there are glimpses of cheerful bright colours to warm the soul. Not the fingers though. The fingers were eventually too cold to click the button.
Colourful buckets full of colourful rope sit on the deck. More colourful rope tied to cleats and bollards on the quay just waiting for an unsuspecting pedestrian to walk by. Best to watch where you are going.
This warehouse across on the East Quay with its row of piled up bright blue buckets contrasting against the golden stone and damp, blackened walls, corrugated roof lined with moss and lichens intrigues me. What are those buckets used for? Lobsters? Crabs?
A last look at the wonderfully curved rusty red roof, which first caught my eye with that fabulous dilapidated door.

One of my sons found me some “military” handling gloves – great for using the camera in the cold.

Lovely photos Jude, they really tell a story. These days I’m very careful about where I put my feet, so I’d be avoiding all those ropes.
So much rich color here, Jude. I love the colorful ropes in the buckets, the blue buckets, the rust-colored roof and the corrugated roof lined with moss and lichens.
