Thought I’d finish this month with some of the butterfly photos I have managed to find. Some in my garden, some from Trebah and some from Trelissick gardens, another lovely place on the Fal estuary for a walk at any time of the year.

I haven’t been doing a lot in my garden these last few weeks, other than weeding and clearing, but there are a few new arrivals that I will introduce to you shortly. More tidying up to do and some transplanting before the next phase of the garden begins. Spring bulb planting. As my son has keenly noticed, gardening is much more full on than a lot of non-gardening people realise 🙂
As always, if you want a peek over other people’s garden walls then please pop over to our host, the lovely Jon, AKA ‘The Propagator’ where you find links to many more wonderful garden enthusiasts from all over the world

Stunning butterflies images.
Thank you, they were quite obliging 🙂
Wonderful shots of these beauties, Jude! Sedated? No, I know you have to be patient!
Very vibrant and beautiful photos, Jude. Love the first and third ones particularly.
So you must be the one who first introduced me to the word flutterby. I love it … it is such an appropriate name for these delightful little creatures! Now it is the first word that comes to mind whenever I see one.
My daughter called them that when she was about 18 months old. Most appropriate!
Your little daughter was very wise. She got it right while rest of the world was saying it wrong.
Wonderfully cheering images.
Regards Thom
Thanks Thom
One of my favourites for 2019 🙂
I hope there are more butterflies next year, this one was poor in my garden. Hope all is well with you Brian!
I hope for more butterflies as well Jude. All is going OK thanks. Have a Happy New Year 🙂
