Picnic at the Rock

‘My’ hill is one of my favourite places to go. No matter how many times I climb up to the top I am mesmerised by the 360 degree views and the thought that once upon a time an Iron-age hillfort stood here. You can feel history in the air. A quiet, reflective and meditative place.

I’m not the only one of course. Often we find families on top enjoying a picnic. It’s a favourite dog walkers habitat and a visit on a summers evening for sunset is a never to be forgotten experience.
