  1. Very cute. It must have been a lovely warm day.

Not that warm! And I imagine the water would have been cold, but she was happy scampering along the beach. Who wouldn’t be at that age!

      1. Children never seem to feel the cold like we do. The older I get the less I like being cold.

I’m not too bad, I seem to have an inbuilt heating system, but the OH feels the cold badly. He often wears a sweater when I am in a T-shirt and I wonder why he isn’t roasting!

  2. Lovely contrast and lovely waves. Am I missing them???

I imagine you are so engrossed in the twins’ lives that you don’t.

        I second that comment, Jude!

That feeling of being alone, on an almost deserted beach. Priceless, at any age. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete. x

Oh, what a pop of colour!

  6. The light in the photo looks so lovely and crisp and summery. 🙂

That’s a lovely colour splash, Jude. I’m always amazed at how children can forget the everything, especially the temperature, when they’re on a beach. Such a happy, cheerful photo to treasure.

Yes! It wasn’t that warm! But kids love beaches and this one was pretty empty, she was having a lot of fun running around.

  8. Elizabeth says:

I love when kids run right to the water. Wonderful image.

I love watching the antics of kids on the beach. All so different! There was a little curly top, skipping daintily along, while her slightly older brothers launched themselves at the waves. Such joy in life! Can you remember the wonder, Jude? It’s a lovely shot! 🙂 🙂

I still love paddling along the seashore, not so much launching myself into the waves these days though! There is something about being by the sea which is truly joyous.

Ahh imagine how excited she must have been!
