Low tide when the beaches of Godrevy and Gwithian link up and you can walk across the Red River which divides the two. Taking a photograph from the top of the cliffs is a favourite of mine. I love to see the ‘ant’ people.

Ant people AND the shape of the beach.
Yes! The wavy pattern was spectacular on that day. Not to mention the colour of the water π
Busy little souls! Ants are a bit of a bug bear with me π π Faial is just as beautiful as Sao Jorge. And guess what? We accidentally caught another procession yesterday. π
You and your processions! Glad you are having fun, but I didn’t doubt it for a minute. I had a fab day. All will be revealed tomorrow π
π―?π
Youβre good at this, Jude!
Takes a lot of work Sue getting the people to stand in the right positions! π
Ooooh, porkies!ππ
Despite the season and weather, the beach looks remarkably quiet. I might have expected to see more ‘ants’. π
Best wishes, Pete.
This was before the bank holiday so schools weren’t out at the time and this was at low tide. And it is a very long beach – the 3 miles of Golden Sands signs are still there! It will get crowded at the end of July. Until then I shall enjoy it π
I love the tiny people on that oh-so-voluptuous beach!
My favourite near beach (not the nearest, but only 20 min drive). I love getting there at low tide when you can walk for miles.
I bet it’s a wonderful walk, Jude. π
I love walking on the beach when the tide is out, just listening to the waves and having the sea air is such a tonic. I don’t do it nearly as much as I should.
What a beautiful beach to walk on!
It certainly is Colline! My favourite beach.
Luckily not as many as if there were ants! π
True Pit. I prefer my ant people to real ants – they are a real pain when they come into the house.
π
That looks like an oil painting. Great image.
Thanks Elizabeth. I love this beach.
Ants…. emmets…. nicely spaced out in this image π
Before the school half term!
This is a beautiful wide expanse of beach and I love the colour of the water.
When the sun shines there is nowhere in the world better to be.
