Albert Pier – Penzance Harbour December 2018.
For someone who is a terrible sailor I have a keen interest in boats and anything nautical from a photography point of view. There are just so many interesting ‘things’ on a boat – my favourite ones are those that aren’t bobbing up and down – like these pretty toy-like vessels out of the water for a winter clean I suppose.
A gorgeous image, Jude. You caught it just right. 😍
The light is very atmospheric. I’m no sailor either – I once got seasick on Lake Windermere.
I sympathise. I can feel queasy just looking at rolling waves on the TV sometimes.
I was horrified by the idea of taking the car over on the Isle of Man ferry, thinking it would be 8ft waves all the way over, only to find the sea as flat as a carpet. I truly thought it only ever rolled out there.
The colours in this photo are beautiful, Jude. The red really glows with that stunning blue sky.
