A Stonking Sunset

Sunday’s sunset was an incredible sight – starting off with pleasant pink streaks 360ยฐ  around the house it gradually deepened and lit up the horizon with purple, yellow, aquamarine, peach, orange and red. One great thing about autumn. The Sky Painter returns.

    That’s a cracker, Jude.
I am usually preparing dinner at sunset now, so rarely see it. But I did go out at 11 pm and look at the amazing stars in a clear sky. ๐Ÿ™‚
    Best wishes, Pete. x

Best one for a while Pete. And yes the stars are stunning on a clear night. I often look at them through the Velux windows before going to sleep.

  2. How did I miss this one? Probably because, like Beetleypete, I was preparing dinner. I’ll be out there tonight just in case! Thank you for this glorious photograph. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Heyjude says:

We were watching Dr Who when I noticed the pink, then as it deepened I had to go outside with the camera. Luckily our lounge faces west!

      It truly was!

  7. Sue says:

    A stonker for sure….

  8. This is a wonderful sunset! Where we live, we have a glorious view of the sunrises but I have to be up early enough to see them.

    1. Heyjude says:

Sun rise is much later now so I even get to see them!

  9. Lucid Gypsy says:

I missed the sunset but was driving a while before and the shiniest sun was lovely peeping through a cloud!

    1. Heyjude says:

That shiny sun almost ran me off the road last Thursday, the glare through my windscreen was so bad I couldn’t see the road! Have since cleaned the windscreen inside and out, but not sure it is any better in the low sun.
