I have had this post waiting since June, but other things keep cropping up. The lighthouse for instance! And yes, that is my favourite photo this year so far.
I can do cliched 😁 but I look out for subjects that fit my ‘colour’ series. Just happens that this fits the lens artists challenge too, but as Jo says, the lighthouse is my favourite.
Mine to if I am honest, but things like that don’t happen very often. I am more of a ‘snapper’ though a much more considered one these days. Even been known to frame a scene in the viewer, then not bother taking the photo, thinking to myself, I won’t use that. And photographing bees and butterflies takes much more patience.
And that’s before you even get to blue sky, blue sea! 🙂 🙂 My favourite of yours is that disappearing lighthouse. It calls to me.

Very good…no clichéd view of sea and sky for you!!

The lighthouse was stunning, my kind of image

Things like that don’t happen often, unless you are a dedicated ‘get up at dawn’ regularly person! And I’m not!
True. Maybe I can force myself to be one. Autumn and winter are probably good times. Later sunrises and empty beaches.
Go for it!!
We’ll see 😀
I’ll be waiting for those images!!
Those blues really stand out, Jude. Nicely done.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Nothing subtle about that shade is there? What caught my eye though was the matching bucket! This was perfect for my ‘colour’ series 🙂
Julie’s grandson has that same blue bucket. It must be this year’s bucket colour. 🙂
On Sunday there wasn’t much space between buckets (or bodies) and I failed to see the colours, I just had to get out of there!
Well seen with the matching bucket and nice composition
I like something different for this series of images so the bucket was just the job.
I like the blue line formed by the umbrellas and the bucket. And there is a lot more blue in the photo as well.
Well done Jude—some super blues in these! Good eye
I keep my eyes open for colour shots. Thanks Tina. The lighthouse is still my favourite though 🙂
There’s even space on the beach!
Surprisingly so as this was the spring half term and very hot. But Mousehole is not known for its beach.
This is a wonderful version of the blue and yellow colour scheme.
Great composition with stunning blues, Jude!
