There have been so many wonderful ‘sky at night’ recently that I couldn’t help taking one or two (hundred) photos, including some from a hike up the hill! So from today I will be showing a week of summer sunsets. I hope they delight you as much as they have delighted me.
From the back lane with the Common Hogweed and nettles in silhouette
Those western skies are delightful indeed, Jude.
This one’s gorgeous. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
Mid June they were pretty spectacular. Less so this last week, but still a pretty peachy glow in the sky.
Oh, the colours are splendid! And the inclusion of the nettles and hogweed is a very nice touch!
Hard not to get the hedgerow in as it is so high at the moment! But I did like the silhouette.
Stunning colors!
We were staying over at Praa Sands last week and had some fab sunsets over Mounts Bay too!
Praa Sands is a lovely beach.
Beautiful picture! I never knew that that was called Hogweed until now.
Very similar to Cow Parsley, but tougher leaves.
Glorious!
It’s a perfectly composed photo, Jude.
I’m wrongly situated for sunsets, so I relish yours. I can’t the colours, and silhouettes are always a bonus.
That’s my excuse for sunrises, though tbh I could go up the hill and see one.
That is stunning it makes me want to get my paints out
Don’t let me stop you!
😀 😀

This first one is very lovely, Jude. A replacement for roofs? 🙂 🙂
Had a week of sunsets in mind after we had several stunning ones in a row, but yes, a good substitute.
