Great maze shot, Jude. I love to look at them, but I am less happy to get stuck in them! ๐
Best wishes, Pete. x
I think this is not so high that you can’t see over the top, at least at the moment and if you are taller than about 4 feet! The fun is in finding your way to the thatched arbour in the middle.
What an incredible scene Jude. It almost looks as if they are green flowing rivers to me.
Dry appropriate for this theme. Did you go in it?
On our way out so no I didn’t, but I will, one day!
Love this; the organic winding (yes, twisty) shapes are much nicer than the more traditional “boxy” look I usually associate with mazes. ๐
I always think of it as a snake winding around itself.
Miss Maja would love this. Sheโs a maze addict, from the ice maze at Zakopane to the simple painted maze in the local park and the mazes in her puzzle books. I have no idea how you managed to photograph it so beautifully. Iโll be showing it to her.
She would love it! Easy to photograph as it is on one side of a valley and I was on the opposite side high above it.
I like the fact that the maze is sinuous, but I also like the way it settles into the shape of the landscape.
It is cleverly done on the side of a valley.
Absolutely in a twist! Seems a lot of people are, on the subject of Data Protection, Jude. ๐ ๐ As usual I’ve not even thought about it. If my WordPress empire crumbles tomorrow…? I guess I’ll cry. Perhaps it’ll wait till after my Monday walk ๐ Not much space in that little hut in the middle but enough for a tete a tete?
Only too true. People haven’t thought about the data held on their blogs until now and unless you host your own blog then any data is covered by WP (or Automattic Inc) in their DP policies. Hopefully it will all blow over.
I see WP are stopping the daily prompts and weekly photo challenge. I’m sure we will manage without them, though the photo challenge has been fun. Sun shining oop north? Been hazy here this morning and some rain over night, but sun breaking through now so I think a couple of hours in the garden is due, before the thunderstorms over the weekend. Although looking out of the window the farmer is walking his bulls up and down the lane! Probably getting them used to a halter and lead for the Cornwall Show next month.
I did reply to this but it doesn’t seem to have worked on my phone. Knew nothing about the challenge stopping. I had noticed them becoming a bit repetitious. Time for people to think for themselves what they want to blog about. Good meeting tool though. Which reminds me- a lady called Tamar Grace did a horticultural degree down your way and was working in the National Trust garden at St. Michael’s Mount till she moved to Spain. Her hiking blog will be on Monday’s walk, along with the ‘random’ but very nice chap I met on Monday. Hoping the weather picks up tomorrow cos we have hot air balloons at Durham. ๐ ๐
I actually found a lot of people in my Trash comment folder and had to rescue them. Not you. This time ๐
You’d have left me there x
Hehe… never. I’d be lost without you to keep me in check ๐
I’ve loved mazes since I was a small child. This one seems particularly plush, and I love the roof poking up from the middle!
Great twists! This reminds of rice paddies in Bali, kind of a weird association. Could be the vibrant bushy greens and the vaguely oriental looking hut.
Is it box, or something that will grow tall enough to really get lost? The scale is quite hard to judge lovely though!
Laurel I think. I have probably mentioned it on my garden portrait.
