This level walk runs alongside the Copperhouse tidal pool, a reminder of Hayle’s heyday during the Industrial Revolution which is now home to a rich variety of birdlife.
It is one of my favourite walks and also one of the closest to my home. I love to see what exotic planting I can find through the seasons. At just under 2 miles return it also provides a tranquil place for some gentle exercise. Go on a Sunday during the summer, when the route is closed to vehicles, to enjoy a totally traffic-free stroll.
(Another reason that I have a soft spot for this unusual garden is that it is where we were walking when we received the phone call from the estate agent to tell us that our offer on our Cornish house had been accepted. )

Such a very pretty place.
It has a lot of lovely flowers, went today to see what damage the cold weather has had on it. Could be worse, but there are some losses.
So beautiful. 🙂
It’s a lovely place for a stroll.
