As the sun moves further towards the west the view from my house changes. Always the clouds catch my eye, now the tree on the hill takes the place of Roger’s folly which dominated my winter sunsets. Soon, even the tree will no longer be in sight.Ā And on this March evening, a jet plane enters the frame, leaving its white trails behind as it heads off to an unknown destination. How marvellous to be flying towards this sunset.

The colours in this photo are glorious, Jude. I love seeing planes high in the sky like this. I always wonder who’s on board and what adventures they’re embarking on.
I have no idea where these planes are coming from or going to. Far too high to have left our local airports.
And how marvellous to be here, ‘in the frame’, with you! Happy Easter, Jude, and a blissful lazy day. We’re off to Leeds in a while. Royal Armouries. Hopefully it’s warm in there. Your sunset and contentment with life are beautiful. š š
I’m a patient lass Jo, though time isn’t doing me any favours.
Beautifully contemplative composition. Happy Easter.
Lovely sunset!
Nice sunset thoughts, Jude. I used to watch the planes over London, wondering where they were off to. These days, the thought of airport hassles and cramped economy seats makes me glad I am not on them. š
Best wishes, Pete. x
My desire for travelling overseas has diminished with age Pete. I loathe airports and flying now.
I would go, if I could afford First Class, and a limo service! š
Yes! Door to door transport and someone to carry the bags š
What a beautiful sunset, Jude. So lovely for a plane to be flying right through the sunset, and it must be quite a view for the people in the plane. A scenic start to their journey. I like how the top of the sky is dark and below warmer hues…that’s the world each day: day and night, ups and downs š
Thank you Mabel. We get some lovely sunsets from our house. You most likely get the sunrises.
Ahh I wish I was flying to the sunset. That’s a thought I’ve never left the UK to fly west, only south or east.
You haven’t been to the US? Or Canada? Mindst you the flights go north more than west.
No, I’ve never been interested. One of my brothers lives in New Jersey and I keep thinking one day, but there are so many places I’d rather see!
Beautiful sunset Jude and I see you are sticking with the square format, suites this subject
I’ve been using the square format since September PP. Though not with the older photos.
Looks good
Thanks Pauline š
