I like teasels 🙂 Coming here, I was fascinated to discover that there are white ones as well as the purple ones I was used to on the Somerset Levels. I’ll be interested to see what else you find to show us…
Conspiring against a person in their absence, she says, chastisingly…. We were down in Leeds with Mick erecting a wonky shelf and leaving us in the dark while he fitted a new light. Men! 🙂 🙂
His DIY skills in general are a bit haphazard but better than James, whose are non existent. He made the shelf because they needed more storage at the top of a tall cupboard, and it’s a tiny bit uneven. Better than no shelf 🙂 🙂 Or paying someone. It was just an afternoon visit. Lauren was at work and I played Dinosaur Dominos with the little falla.
Ah, well, the treat has yet to come – at the end of the month. If I can get out to take some photos that is! Still blowing an icy wind, but at least it is sunny ans dry 🙂
Gave up on the beach, just picking salad from the garden left me with frozen hands! But we did have a short stroll down the lane 🙂 Really nice to see the sun.
Nice shot, Jude. Worked well in ‘widescreen format’ too.
Best wishes, Pete. x
A change from the squares 😀
I do like the squares though. x
I took a few more squares tonight 🙂
I like the idea of showcasing with photos the natural world in your area. Great shot!
Looking forward to the titles too, if this one is anything to go by.
I’ve never seen them growing in flocks. Wonderful.

I think the only place I ever ran into the word teasel was in English kids’ books. I wonder what we call them.
We have quite a lot too. I always like them 🙂 🙂
I must see if I can catch them in flower.
Can’t recall seeing them in flower. What colour? 🙂
Purple I guess.
I can be sensible too, you know. 😦
[blushes…]

I hadn’t realised you were in Leeds. Shelves not Mick’s thing then? 🙂

Sounds cozy 🙂
A great teaser as what is to come…
A nice idea and monthly treat for us Jude!

Yes, same here and I’ve frozen on the beach two days in a row now 🙂
