day 22: december sunset

December 18th, 16:33 – 16: 38, Trink Hill

I couldn’t choose between these images so you have got six for the price of one today. Blue/Gold in the south and Lilac/Pink over Trink Hill (west) where you can just make out the Trig Point and Twelve ‘O Clock Rock (bottom left)

All photos were taken with my Olympus E-10 camera and the 45mm F/2.8 prime lens and because I haven’t linked to DJ’s Regular Random challenge in ages I am going to do so now. After all these images were all taken within the allotted 5 minutes πŸ™‚

Sadly the last sunset this week… but boy was it special.

It was stunning . . .think this one will last in your memories for a very long while πŸ™‚

We get some lovely sunsets here, I’m sure there will be more like this (hoping…)

        2. BeckyB says:

          Hoping too 😊

    1. Heyjude says:

Thank you Vicki. It was a fabulous sunset.

I think it all works well as one picture. It would look great on a wall.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

      Mmm… now there’s a thought.

    2. Su Leslie says:

I’m thinking the same thing. That’s the third time recently I’ve pictured your images as large-scale wall art. Is there a new career in the offing for 2018?

      1. beetleypete says:

I do that all the time, Su. A gallery beckons! πŸ™‚

      2. Heyjude says:

You are very kind Su, I think if I am going to print any of these out I must start photographing in RAW. Maybe that IS something I can look at next year.

    What brilliant color.

    1. Heyjude says:

It was mesmerising Cee – I was watching the sky change colours for a good 20 minutes. I particularly like that aqua blue.

    WOW 6 times…..

    1. Heyjude says:

I couldn’t stop smiling watching the sky and kept urging the OH to ‘come and look’

      1. pommepal says:

I know that feeling of wonder at the beauty around you. What lovely skies you have

        1. Heyjude says:

Since then they have been grey, grey and more grey (though a little patch of blue on Thursday). Of course being high up means we are often in the cloud…

  6. Anabel Marsh says:

It’s like a stained glass window. Beautiful!

  7. desleyjane says:

Wow these are spectacular- such vibrant and gorgeous colours. And that pink!!! Love these! Merry Christmas.

    1. Heyjude says:

      I thought you’d love the pink πŸ˜‰

  8. Stunning sunset. I considered a sunset too for the 5 minute challenge but never had one as dramatic as this.
