Looks a tad yellow to me this caulicloud! Loving the blue sky behind though 🙂
A January sky too! I think the yellowness is simply due to the post-processing I did to bring out the cloud details. And you do get yellowish caulis 😀
😀
🙂 🙂
Which program do you use for editing? Have a look if you can find a slider or a button for the white balance.
Thanks Dina. The original has quite a dark side, which is very grey. I cropped this to make the square and then used Nix Color Efex to bring out the detail. Not sure what I used that gave it the yellowish tinge, but I quite like that compared to the grey! Have had a try using the white balance and the only difference is that the right-hand edge remains grey.
“Cauliflower sky”: I would never have thought of that descriptive term, but it is very apt.
Have a great weekend,
Pit
Thanks Pit – we have a great view of the sky from our house and it is ever changing! We are due a rather cold weekend, but unlike some of the country, no snow here 🙂 Enjoy yours in the run up to Christmas.
We had some snow – just a sprinkle – here last night, but with rising temperatures, it’s gone now. It still was lovely.
It won’t be freezing any more, but still great weather, with fairly cold temps, and bright sunshine.
Enjoy your pre-Christmas time, too,
Pit
I don’t really celebrate Christmas any more unless with the grandchildren. We are having a very quiet one this year 🙂
Here it looks like a quiet one, too, with just Mary and me.
Lovely! I find this one quite uplifting 🙂 🙂 And you’ve given me a desire for cauliflower cheese.
I LOVE cauliflower cheese. AND I have a cauliflower in the fridge…
Cauliflower – plain: yes, cheese: I don’t think so.
No? Lovely crunchy cauli (and broccoli sometimes) in a creamy cheesy sauce with crisp bacon and grilled tomatoes on top? My favourite cheap meal.
Oh! Now that sounds totally different from what I had imagined. I think I would like that a lot. Thx for the recipe. I might try that.
Have a great eekend,
Pit
Me too: although baked with cranberries is good too.
Really? I got a lovely cranberry recipe for a sauce / gravy from someone on WP but I’m not sure about combining them with cauliflower cheese. Won’t it turn pink? And look a bit weird?
Not with cheese, or white sauce. Just bake and add cranberries.
Oh, OK, Silly me… 😀
What a beautiful square sky! 🙂
I hadn’t realised until Becky’s challenge just how many sky scenes I have!
The colour of the sky is what gets me. I don’t join challenges, but i’m Inspired by them. I have “5 minutes with a morning sky” in my RegularRandom queue, and I’m sure I wouldn’t have thought of it without this series. I’m a vampitre.
I try not to get sucked into too many challenges, but to use them as an inspiration. Sometimes I already have a post which fits the brief and sometimes, in the case of flowers and skies, I DO get sucked in…
And a woman who fails to proof-read her comments!
Heehee…
I’ve got my hand up for cauliflower cheese too… I like the yellowish tinge it brings out the blue of the sky.
Well I know what to cook if we all get together 🙂
I wish we could…
You never know. Son trying to get a position with Virgin Australia (he was recently made redundant) which means he may be moving to Brisbane. I’ll keep you posted!
Oh I will keep my fingers tightly crossed🤞
Cauliflower with cheese sauce. 😀
